Terms of Service
Last updated: April 20, 2026
By using Wigwam, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Wigwam is
Wigwam is a tool for viewing and interacting with your terminal
sessions across devices. It includes a command-line program that runs
on your machines (the "hut"), a relay service at api.wigwam.build,
a website at wigwam.build, desktop and mobile apps.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and encryption keys secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Wigwam.
- One person or legal entity per account. Don't share credentials.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Wigwam to access systems you don't own or have permission to access
- Use it to commit or facilitate illegal activity
- Attempt to compromise, reverse-engineer the relay, or disrupt the service for other users
- Automate usage in ways that place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Resell, rent, or sublicense access to the service
4. Your content
You own everything you type, run, and create through Wigwam. Because terminal content is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot access it — which also means we cannot recover it if you lose your encryption keys. Keep them safe.
5. The service
- Wigwam is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
- We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
- We may rate-limit, throttle, or suspend accounts that violate these terms or threaten the stability of the service.
6. Fees
Wigwam is currently free to use. If we introduce paid tiers, you'll be notified before any charges apply. Free-tier limits may change with reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
Signing in with GitHub, Google, or Apple is governed by their terms and privacy policies in addition to ours.
8. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@wigwam.build.
- We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, after a warning where reasonable.
- Upon termination, your account data is deleted (see the Privacy Policy for details).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wigwam and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim (which, for free accounts, is zero).
10. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify signed-in users by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
